The super Eagles of Nigeria met with the
Bafana Bafana of South Africa in their last qualifiers match for African Cup Of
Nation (AFCON) in the new Akwa Ibom Stadium in Uyo city.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria Fail to qualify
as they played a 2 -2 draw with the opponent (South Africa).
Defending champion Nigeria will not defend
its Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in Equatorial Guinea after failing to
qualify from Group A. The Super Eagles were held 2-2 by the Bafana Bafana of
South Africa at the new Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo, meaning they
finished outside of their group’s top two automatic qualification spots with
eight points – a total that also put them out of the running to be the best
third-placed team. Nigerians will particularly rue the many chances Ahmed Musa
missed in the opening...
Yet it is recorded that the Bafana Bafana of South
Africa has not win Nigeria even for once in any competition they ever met.
It
also seems that the Akwa Ibom State Stadium is going to rule back the neighboring
Stadium of Calabar for keeping its record of not losing in the Stadium just
like the Calabar was before not until Nigeria loss their match against Congo
which brook the longtime record kept.
