Normalcy returns to Bajoga after gunmen attack - Police

Gombe - Normalcy has returned to Bajoga, headquarters of Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State, after gunmen attacked the town on Thursday morning.
The Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, DSP Fwaje Atajiri, said this in Gombe on Thursday while briefing newsmen.
Atajiri said that the situation had been brought under control.

He said the gunmen attacked Bajoga at about 8.30 a.m. and made an unsuccessful attempt to enter the Ashaka Cement Company.
He said that the number of casualties in the incident could not be ascertained as at the time of the news briefing.
The police spokesman said policemen had been deployed to the area to maintain peace.
He called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements of persons to the law enforcement agencies.
