Former Chelsea manager Ron Suart has died at the age of 94, the club have announced.
Suart, who was assistant to Tommy Docherty and Dave
Sexton, took charge of first-team affairs from October 1974 until April
1975.
Before Chelsea, Suart also managed Wigan, Scunthorpe United and Blackpool.
His 10-year playing career began with Blackpool alongside Sir Stanley Matthews in 1946 before spells at Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic.
The Barrow-born defender, who passed away on Wednesday, remains Blackpool's second-longest-serving manager behind Joe Smith.
In the 16 years Suart spent with Chelsea, he also served as general manager and chief scout, and then later worked as a scout for Wimbledon.
