Corps members call for release of kidnapped colleague

Some 2014 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch C members in Rivers State have expressed sadness over the kidnap of their colleague, Duru Obinna, by gunmen.
Masked gunmen on Monday, October 12 abducted Obinna alongside three teachers and a security guard following the invasion of Agba-Ndele Community Secondary School in Emohua Local Government Area.
The NYSC members consequently called on the relevant authorities to put measures in place to fast track the release of their colleague, who was supposed to pass out yesterday.
In the same vein, the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in the state has described as barbaric the kidnap of the three teachers.
Chairperson, Beatrice Itubo, wondered why gunmen should kidnap teachers who were barely surviving with their meagre salaries.
